I wanted to take this opportunity to express heartfelt thanks for the call to be pastor of this wonderful church! Lise and I are very excited. We have been a part of the New Life family since 2002, and so I hope you can imagine how great it is to be surrounded by people we already know and love. Often pastors receive a call from a group of strangers! We truly feel blessed.
Thank you for being willing to embark upon this journey, and especially in your acceptance of the rather unusual plan entailing the last 18 months. There were plenty of unknowns, plenty of risks. We thank you wholeheartedly for your willingness and hope-filled patience.
One other thing in particular I want to mention is how relatively easy this has been on my family. Everyone knows that being a pastor’s wife or being a pastor’s child is not easy, right? Well, in our case, things have gone exceptionally well, for which I am exceedingly grateful. New Life has not put pressure on my family, nor socially put us ‘in a different category.’ Far from it. Instead, the congregation looks out for my family! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Marc and I sincerely enjoy being your pastors, and I’m excited to be part of the wonderful staff here.
