Weekly / Monthly Events for Women in 2019-2020
Women’s Bible Study (Fall Semester 9/18 to 12/15) (Spring Semester 1/15 to 4/26)
The goal of Women’s Bible Study is to help women meet Jesus through the study of God’s Word. Our desire is to see women grow in their faith-transformed more and more into the likeness of Jesus Christ. This year we will study Hebrews. There are four class meeting opportunities each week: Wednesday mornings (9:30am), Wednesday evenings (7pm), Friday mornings (6am) and Sunday mornings (9am).

Women’s Discipleship Groups (start various days in September)
Women’s Discipleship Groups will be forming this fall! Each group of about 8 women will meet once a month from September to May. We have a short Bible study (no homework) in which we talk about a Biblical perspective on the events of our lives, and then we pray for each other. Some groups eat a meal. We’re looking for new interested women, leaders, and hosts for Tuesday and Thursday evening groups, a new Wednesday brown bag lunch group (where mothers can bring young children!), and a Friday evening group for single women. We can consider other nights if there is enough interest and a host/leader. For more info. or to sign up, please contact Joanna Andrews at firstname.lastname@example.org, or see Joanna, Debby Wood, or Rita Harris after church. We would love to have you join us!
Saturday Morning Prayer
Join us Saturday Morning at 7am to read scripture and intercede in prayer for each other, our church, our community, our nation and our world. Meeting place: Room 108.
Contact: Linda Woods: through the church office.
One-Time Events for Women in 2020
PCA Women’s Spring Breakfast | March, 2020; 9am to noon |
Do you feel alone? Even (or especially) at church? Is it possible to have authentic community (even for introverts)? How do we create a place to belong in spite of the messed-up places of our lives? Join us here at New Life as we find out together what it means to glorify God through community. Cost: $5.00 (light breakfast included).
Annual Women’s Weekend (May 2020)
Once a year for a Friday night, Saturday and Sunday morning women retreat from their daily work to focus on their relationship with Christ. A new theme is focused on each year. Resources, encouragement and tools are presented through talks, group sessions, worship times and activities. Access the 2019 Messages from the 2019 series “Victory in Your Thought Life” HERE.
